Halloumis enrobés de miel infusé

Halloumi is a soft, semi-firm, salty cheese of Turkish origin (Cyprus, to be precise), traditionally made with goat's or sheep's milk. Raw, it has a slightly rubbery, crunchy texture, but it's delicious grilled. Once heated, it becomes meltingly soft and flavorful. A delicacy to try at least once in a lifetime!

I.

Pour a drizzle of olive oil into a non-stick pan and heat over medium-high heat.

II.

Add the halloumi slices or sticks. Sear for 1 to 2 minutes per side, until golden brown. Drain lightly if necessary at the end of cooking.

III.

Melt your infused honey in a bain-marie over very low heat and coat your halloumi by stirring them in a dish.

Serve with a vegetable dish such as sun-dried tomatoes. Enjoy!
